Our Story

The foundation of Eastwood Wealth Management can be traced back to Nashville, NC where my family operates a drycleaning business started by my Grandfather in 1943.  At a young age, I was fortunate to witness the virtues of serving others with an emphasis on quality and the value of hard work.  That dedication has been serving my hometown now for more than 77 years.

Some of my favorite childhood memories were spent with my Dad and Grandfather reviewing the Business and Finance section in the local newspapers.  We discussed time-tested financial principles and our family's portfolio, which was kept in a tattered, yellow notebook.  In 2010, my Grandfather gave me that old notebook on his 90th birthday.  It represents a tangible lesson and is a testament to having a plan, the patience to see it through and the innate belief that tomorrow will be better than today.

I attended East Carolina University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  Prior to graduating, I was provided an opportunity to follow my vision of assisting others with their financial planning and began my life's work.  With a strong gravitational pull to the beach, I moved to Wilmington in the Spring of 2000.

In 2011, after more than eleven years as an advisor, I founded Eastwood Wealth Management and completed the rigorous education courses and Board examination to earn the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation.

To me, financial planning revolves around designing and pursuing the quality of life that we desire for ourselves and our family.  It's about living a purpose-filled life surrounded by the people, places and activities we love the most.  Experience has taught me that to do so requires setting clearly defined goals and implementing a panoramic planning strategy over an extended period of time.  In this spirit, we have developed and refined a repeatable process over the years combining financial planning, investment management and sound decision-making to assist individuals, families, business owners and organizations.

When I need to recharge my batteries, I can be found standup paddle boarding the waters around Wrightsville Beach, cooking a healthy meal, playing my guitar or sitting under an umbrella at the beach with a good book.

Thank you for your interest in Eastwood Wealth Management and the opportunity to serve you and your family.

The pineapple has long been the universal symbol of hospitality since the days of the early American colonies. The legend begins with the seafaring captains of New England who sailed the tropical Caribbean waters in search of fruits, spices, and rum.

At this time, the only trade routes were by ship and the waters often perilous. To get the succulent fruit back to port without it spoiling was a significant feat.

Upon returning, captains would spear a fence post outside of their home with a pineapple. This was the sign that the captain was home safely and company was welcomed. During these visits the guests were greeted with the rewards of a successful journey and tales from the sea.

Today, the pineapple remains the stamp of welcome, warmth and good cheer. For this reason, it is the symbol of Eastwood Wealth Management.
